Chelsea House
A three-storey London terrace property was extended by way of a full footprint basement, ground floor and second floor rear extensions to create a suitable space for a growing family.
A small rear courtyard was engulfed by a large overbearing tree that was causing damage to this and neighbouring properties. The removal of the tree gave much needed light to the building. A glass rear extension was formed to maximise light into the property and the retension of a small courtyard allows for natural ventilation.
The property’s stair core was poorly located within the footprint, hindering circulation. We relocated the stair core to the party wall, opening up much need space over all floors.
